Pro FAQ

If you take pride in great work, clear communication, and treating clients well, we would love to get to know you. Here is what joining Screw It looks like and how we help pros build steady, trusted work in Israel.

Who are we looking for?

+

We are looking for experienced pros who do excellent work and treat customer service like part of the job, not a decorative extra. That means showing up on time, communicating clearly, taking accountability, and leaving clients feeling like they were in good hands.

A big part of Screw It is serving olim who are used to a different standard of customer care. If you know how clients expect to be treated in places like the US, UK, Canada, France, South Africa, Australia, Latin America, or similar communities, you already understand the assignment.

Do I need to be an oleh to join Screw It?

+

No. Part of our mission is to help olim in skilled trades build strong careers in Israel, and nobody understands the oleh client experience quite like another oleh. But the bigger requirement is language, professionalism, and service culture.

We welcome any qualified pro who is a native or fluent speaker in the languages common in oleh communities and who is serious about giving clients a better home repair experience.

I do not see my trade listed. Should I still apply?

+

Yes, please. That is exactly the kind of problem we like. Screw It is expanding geographically and professionally, and we want to cover every relevant home repair trade over time.

If your work belongs in homes and your clients would be thrilled to find someone like you, submit the application form and tell us what you do.

Which languages are you supporting?

+

Right now we are prioritizing pros who are fluent in English, French, and Spanish.

We are also very interested in bringing on professionals who speak Russian, Portuguese, Hindi, and Farsi. If you speak another language used by oleh communities, we still want to hear from you.

What if I do not have an Osek yet?

+

At this stage, Screw It requires every contractor on the platform to already have an established Osek Murshe or Osek Patur, along with the relevant license, certification, and insurance for their trade.

If you do not have an Osek set up in your name yet, you can still use the Contact Us page. We cannot onboard you until the business side is ready, but we can point you in a useful direction.

You can also review the Contractor Terms to understand the baseline business requirements before applying.

How do Screw It fees work?

+

You keep 85% of the client revenue for the work you charge through Screw It. Screw It keeps 15%. No mystery spreadsheet. No dramatic reveal.

That 15% helps pay for the parts of the business most pros do not want to spend their day doing: marketing, advertising, client sourcing, booking flow, payment collection, admin systems, accounting coordination, customer communication, and the ongoing work of building a trusted brand that sends you serious clients.

The platform relationship is governed by the Contractor Terms, which applicants should read before joining.

How does VAT work?

+

VAT handling depends on your Israeli business tax status. For Osek Patur contractors, Screw It handles the VAT reporting responsibility connected to the client payment flow on our side.

For Osek Murshe contractors, Screw It and the contractor each report their own portion independently: Screw It reports the VAT connected to our 15% platform fee, and the contractor reports the VAT connected to their 85% share. Screw It recommends contractors still have a personal accountant of their own.

Who gets paid, and when?

+

Clients pay Screw It directly through the platform. We charge a deposit so your time is valued and so clients have a little skin in the game before you block off your schedule.

Outside of the deposit and any emergency callout fee, you set your own prices. After the job is complete, you create the final invoice for the client to review and sign. That signed invoice generates a payment link. Once the client pays Screw It, we pay out your share according to the platform split.

What does Screw It do for me?

+

We bring in clients, market the service, advertise, organize the booking flow, collect payments, help manage the accounting trail, provide contractor tools, and keep the client communication from turning into fourteen WhatsApp messages that all somehow say less than one normal sentence.

The goal is simple: you focus on doing great work, and Screw It helps make the work easier to find, easier to manage, and easier to get paid for.

Why should I join Screw It?

+

The service culture in Israel can be a shock, especially for new olim. We are building Screw It because we believe people should be able to make Aliyah without wondering whether every home repair will become a small character-building exercise.

Our mission is to raise the standard: better communication, better reliability, better accountability, and a better quality of life for the people trying to build their homes here. If that sounds like the kind of change you want to be part of, start the application form.
